Various youth exchange programs with Hongkong SAR, Macau SAR and Taiwan province have been held by the ACYF to promote the grand cause of national reunification and maintain the stability and solidarity of the country, including Dragon Shining Over Huangpu River — a large-scale Youth Dialogue and Gala, Cross-straits Youth Forum and Festival, Mid-autumn Festival for Cross-straits Youth, Same Root — A Tour of Chinese Civilization, Cross-straits University Students Camp, Cross-Straits Outstanding Youth Exchange, etc. About 33 groups and 5,321 youngsters from Hongkong SAR, Macau SAR and Taiwan province participate in the exchanges in 2006, which help younger generation from Hongkong SAR, Macau SAR and Taiwan province have better understanding towards the Chinese culture and history and make closer relationship with their young friends from different places of the motherland.
