During the 5th plenary session of the 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, an important strategy was made on development of socialist new countryside. In line with the national strategic development plan, the ACYF carries forward a series of programs with New Countryside, New Rural Youth and New Outlook as the theme and focused on training of new rural youth, development of rural youth culture, improvement of rural public programs and effective participation of rural young people. Programs related include Outstanding Chinese Rural Youth Appraisal, to help strengthen the education of young farmers; Training Plan of Migrant Rural Youth, to facilitate the employment of young farmers in urban areas; set up China Rural Youth Development Fund, support young farmers to learn modern agricultural techniques and engage in the market development of agricultural products, encourage college and high school students to participate in the social practices in countryside as well as reinforce the development of rural youth culture and youth center, etc.
