Youth's Rights and Interests Safeguarding Post was jointly launched by the CCYL CC and several ministries and committees in 1998. Politics and law sector attacks illegal crime aiming to young people and explores youth judicatory system with Chinese characteristics. Education sector strengthens help students in middle schools, especially those whose parents are immigrant workers, students in trouble, and youth with bad behaviors. Civil administration sector provide help to disadvantaged groups such as young tramps and disabled children. Labor, social security sector strictly investigate into employing child labor. Press and media sector tries to create a positive atmosphere for young people by ban the production and transaction of digital products that is harmful to young people. By far, the program has covered 31 provinces, municipalities and cities directly under the control of Central Government.
